The 2024 SDG Impact Week is a pivotal event dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impact measurement and management (IMM). This week-long event will be held from November 2nd to November 7th, 2024, at the National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Organized by the Asian Institute for Impact Measurement and Management (AIIMM), this event aims to bring together global thought practitioners, academicians, and researchers to foster actionable insights and collaborations.

As the world faces unprecedented challenges, the need for effective impact measurement and management has never been more critical. IMM equips decision-makers with essential insights to optimize strategies, enhance interventions’ efficiency, and amplify the beneficial effects of sustainability-focused programs. SDG Impact Week stands as a beacon in this quest, setting the stage for a comprehensive discourse on the intersection of IMM and sustainable development.

SDG Impact Week is not just a gathering of minds but a platform for action. It transcends traditional conference paradigms by embracing a holistic approach that fosters a shift from passive understanding to active engagement. It combines international conferences, research panels, workshops, and cultural experience trips. Participants are not mere consumers of information but active collaborators in crafting a sustainable future. This event is anchored in the ethos that achieving the SDGs is a collective effort driven by an informed, empowered, and synergized community.

 -Fellowship: US$1000

The fellowship covers flights to and from Taiwan, accommodation, meals, transportation, and insurance while in Taiwan. It does not sponsor visas.
-Eligible Countries: Asia: Sri Lanka, Nepal, India, Bangladesh;

Europe: Albania, Belarus, Bosneia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye;

Oceania: Palau
-Positions: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and above. Applicants must have at least a doctorate degree.
Tier 2 

(10 participants)

 -Fellowship: US$800 

The fellowship covers flights to and from Taiwan, accommodation, meals, transportation, and insurance while in Taiwan. It does not sponsor visas.
– Eligible Countries: Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam.
– Positions: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and above. Applicants must have at least a doctorate degree.
AIIMM will cover the following costs:

– SDG Impact Week participation fee

– Learning program

– Certification after completion of 3-day workshop (participants must attend all workshop lectures and training to receive a certificate)

– Cultural experience trip
  1. International Practitioners 
-Fellowship: 0
-Eligible Countries: not limited
-Positions: startup hub/accelerator/incubation founders and managers, tech and innovation hub founders and managers, university accelerator/incubator managers, public and private sector employees involved in work that supports impact entrepreneurship.
AIIMM will cover the following costs:

– SDG Impact Week participation fee

– Learning program

– Certification after completion of 3-day workshop (participants must attend all workshop lectures and training to receive a certificate)

– Cultural experience trip
  1. Taiwanese Scholars and Practitioners 
-Fellowship: 0
– Eligible Countries: Taiwan
– Positions: Taiwanese Universities Lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors, and above. Applicants must have at least a doctorate degree.
AIIMM will cover the following costs:

  • Fellowship and Financial Support
    Q5: What does the SDG Impact Week fellowship cover?
    The fellowship provides a fixed amount of financial support to cover costs such as flights, accommodation, meals, transportation, and insurance during the event. The amounts are as follows:
    –  Tier 1 Fellowship: US$1,000 for participants from selected countries in Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
    –  Tier 2 Fellowship: US$800 for participants from other specified Asian countries.
    Q6: What happens if my expenses exceed the fellowship amount?
    If your expenses exceed the provided fellowship amount, you will be responsible for covering the additional costs yourself. The fellowship is designed to assist with costs, but it may not cover all expenses.
    Q7: When will the fellowship money be disbursed?
    The fellowship money will be wired to participants during the last day of the event. It is important to plan accordingly for any upfront expenses​.

    Q8: What is the structure of the SDG Impact Week?
    The event spans six days and includes international forums, research panels, workshops, and cultural trips.
    Q9: What kind of workshops and sessions can participants expect?
    Participants can expect a range of workshops and sessions on topics such as global environmental frameworks, sustainability reporting, SDG impact standards, and more.
    Q10: Is there an opportunity to publish research after the event?
    Yes, participants are expected to submit a paper to the Impact Measurement and Management Journal or the Asian Impact Measurement Review within three months after the event.

    Q11: Where will participants be accommodated?
    All Participants will be accommodated at the same hotel in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Transportation to and from the event venue at National Central University will be provided by the organizers​.
